Meeting the legal requirements set by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the U.S Department of Agriculture (USDA) is only a part of our job. I Love Produce goes above and beyond those requirements by participating in the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). PrimusGFS, an impartial third-party auditing agency, inspects our facility on an annual basis and we follow all of the recommendations that they suggest. PrimusGFS is one of the most respected auditing agencies in the Food industry.
Additionally, the I Love Produce full-time Food Safety Manager oversees quality control on a daily basis, conducts internal unannounced audits and reviews our procedures to ensure that our facility is clean and performing under the best possible conditions. Fundamental programs of Good Manufacturing Practices including pest control, recall, employee training, basic hygiene, hazard analysis, foreign matter control and critical control points (HACCP) programs are built into the program. Our traceability program gives us the ability to trace our products forwards and backwards within the supply chain. We monitor our products from the farmers we work with, to our customers. Knowing where your product is coming from is a major part of our food safety program. It is our goal to ensure that the quality of all aspects of the products we provide, so that you are confident in supplying the best and safest products to your customers.
